20 Portraits in 7 Hours

230 days ago in Art

Something to share with you guys while I am away in Bali. icon smile : 20 Portraits in 7 Hours

This is a stop motion video I did to promote art.hazelong.com, stupid right since I can just merge the art.hazelong.com with hazelong.com. That is going to be soon so watch out for it. Anyway, back to the video.. I shot this in 2 days, cuz I slept in between. Next time I will remember to shoot in the morning so that it is continuous.

Anyway, my standard has pretty much sucked ever since I stopped drawing after the freshman days from my uni. This is an exercise to catch up and also to develop a style that is my own. I was expecting to do like 60 drawings to get that but I am happy cuz I found what I want in 20 drawings. I am ready to start a small collection of paintings! Please support and buy omg please.

Few years ago, if i drew like this I would have turn it into garbage. Funny how my perception of art has changed. Now I m aiming more for spontaneity than accuracy in portraying the physical aspects of a subject. More of the feel and the mood that I am going for. Proportion is important but not that important but the process of using ink without any sketches below it and sketching an image out is more appealing to me now.
