I was in Shah Alam Skatepark when some of the longboarders asked me to go to i-City to longboard. I didn’t go as it was already 3 am that time. This time, I am going to MTV World Stage in the same venue. Though, if I actually end up going or not is still a big question cuz I still am not able to walk at this time.

Jared Leto and Claire Danes, My So Called Life
I am especially interested in seeing Jared Leto perform. I followed his acting career since “My So-Called Life” with co-star, Claire Danes up til “Chapter 27″. His singing career had been going on for a decade or so and now, it has finally taken off. Though the band, 30 Seconds from Mars finally played by the formula of writing more “hooks” into their songs, this inevitably led them to success.
Ever since I been sofa and wheel chair bound, KY bought me the entertainment package on Astro. With MTV around, I start to see names like Neon Trees and Beast. Neon Trees may sound relatively new but they have toured with one of my favourite bands, The Killers before. Also, being a closet subscriber to Gossip Girls, their song ‘Animal’ was featured in one of the episodes. I still remember when One Republic’s Apologize were featured in Season One and that song got so popular after that episode. Crazy.

Another one of the acts that is local act, Pop Shuvit. Not to be confused by the longboarding term of the same name though. Been hearing their name now and then since they are closely tied to Hitz FM where some of my friends work there. Also, I bet all of us listened to their songs before in Hitz FM and Fly FM as well. And its not like we never seen them before… The video below is shot in Lim Kok Wing, a stone’s throw away from my previous uni, MMU.
I may be crippled for the time being, but I ain’t gonna stop blogging! Recently, a new set of soap got launched. Not just any soap, but this series of soap boasts of anti-aging factors together with the usual bandwagon of moisturizing, skin brightening features.

Yuan Honeysuckle Soap
Great for lacklustre and inflamed skin, this soap can calm and ease the inflammation of the skin and rejuvenates your skin as well.
Yuan Mulberry & Chrysanthemum Soap

What this means is, this soap is good for healing scars and wounds.
Yuan Tithonia Soap
This is made from Tithonia, otherwise known as the Mexican Sunflower and is the best anti-aging soup in the series. It lighten age spots, prevent wrinkles and improve dry skin.
Yuan Alpinia Speciosa Soap
Made from shellflowers, the process to make this soap is tedious and difficult. The plant can only be extracted every 730 days and is found in many Japanese skincare products because it is very good in rejuvenating dull and tired skin. The soap also helps moisturize dry skin and tighten your pores as well.

Last week I was at Uniqlo’s launch at KLCC. So lucky!! I wasn’t really expecting much from this event but I was delighted when there is a huge line up of celebrities ready to model the apparel from the popular brand.

After the catwalk, we were ushered to Uniqlo to shop together with the celebrities. It was interesting and lucky for us, since only people wearing the red band could enter the shop.

I of course, chose an One Piece t-shirt. I love One Piece and is now re-watching the Enies Lobby Arc, wearing this t-shirt and drinking from my One Piece tumbler. Hehe.
Few weeks ago, Vinn and I embarked on an adventure to the wild. We were driven through forests, trees and bushes to reach Bali. Ok it’s not Bali, but it felt like Bali. Its like we got flown off to an entirely different climate altogether. The whole huha was for the launch of the first EcoCert organic skincare launch in Malaysia, Esmeria Organics. (Note the whole transportation is to emphasize the eco-friendliness of the whole product line.)

The first thing we noticed when we are there was this cute little mosquito coil. The kind people there gave us a mosquito repellant cream, from one of their brands Buds Organics. The packaging is so cute!!!
Buds Organics are catered for babies, moms and kids. This range is widely used in Asia and Europe. I am guessing that Esmeria will hit the world by storm too eh.

We were chaperoned to the kitchen and were told that we are going to make our own face cream! Yay! Cooking!! Vinn and I paired up with Yati and Julia from Eh! magazine for the activity. After many pouring, measuring temperatures, stirring and more stirring we finally got our creamy base.

With the creamy base, we added essential oil for the smell. This is where I got intrigued. The chemistry of adding essential oils is so interesting, its like making your own perfume. I totally booched my lavender + citrus one, only to be told that flowers + citrus doesn’t go well together. I managed to get a decent smelling one, germanium + peppermint though. I was also informed that peppermint + citrus goes very well together.
We were told to put a few drops only but all of us went berserk and put alot in. We were told that the smell gets stronger the next day. OMG. Haha.
For those who doesn’t want to cook their own face cream, they could opt for a facial + makeover session. Note that Yati did both. Lol, we went searching for her and found her in the good hands of Connie, who is from the famed skindeco.net portal. After Vinn and I pestered Connie for cosmetics’ recommendations, we were ushered for lunch.

I shall leave you today with this cat. Note that my hand is just 1/3 of its size. One of the girls told me that the name is Bacon. It responded to Bacon, until the owner came up and told us that the name is Linkin (like Linkin Park). -_-

Last week, I went to Shoeville’s shop opening at Bangsar Shopping Center. Coincidentally, that day was also KY‘s birthday. I went there holding a rose awkwardly, trying to decide whether I should hide or stand at the entrance. Lol.
The event is hosted by Pauline and Celine. They prepped some Subway sandwiches and wine for us. Pauline is detailed enough to even include vegetarian sandwiches.
The shoes that they have are all imported. Some are from Brazil and all of them are made from cow’s leather. They also said that they will be bringing in fish skin? That will be quite interesting! The brands that they have are Satryani, Via Uno, Raphaella Booz and Biondini. In the montage above are some Via Uno shoes. They are widely copied and resold in Bangkok’s Platinum Mall for around RM75. This however, are the real Via Uno. The leather is soft and the cutting is very comfortable.

I have finally gained weight! 1 month into the relationship, I gained over 7 kg. Now have to liquify photos already. T_T
They had this contest where we need to pick our favourite pair of heels and give a short pep talk on why its our fave. 3 lucky winners got RM400 voucher to spend. It is equivalent to the price of a pair of heels there. Its really high class heels, I wished I had won but I couldn’t compete with Eiling (we chose the same shoe). She can really talk. 0_0 All I know is how to fix rubik’s cube. T_T
In the end, all the other girls went away with RM80 voucher. Tis was a fun event Thank you Jestina for the invite.
